Players of the Week 11/7:

8th Grade

Red Team
Tonight was the ponies final game as 8th graders. The first half saw a Ponies team that was on fire. trailing at halftime 14-8, the ponies were unable in the second half to match the first half success they had. In the end they would fall to the Colts 30-8. Offensive Player of the Game was Derek Engel in the face of pressure all night, Derek hung in there and made some tough throws. Defensive Player of the game goes to Gabe Jackson. Gabe had several tackles for losses and a huge sack. Hustle player of the game was Hunter Tower. Hunter provided great coverage all night on the colts receivers. Great Season Ponies. It didn’t end the way we would have liked it to but we are so proud of you guys.

Grey Team
The Ponies came out hot against Colleyville but fell just short in the second half, losing 18-12. Offensive player of the game goes to Khalil Bell. Defensive player of the game goes to Coleman Badgett. Hustle player of the game Hudson Suarez.

7th Grade

Grey Team
The grey team fought hard, but fell short of victory to the colts 19-0. The offensive player of the game was Cameron Mohb who threw great passes and ran the ball tough all game long. The defensive player of the game was Chance Gartman who had multiple tackles and tackles for loss from his linebacker position. The hustle player of the game was Noah Brown who had big runs while at running back and also had two big kick returns.

White Team
The Ponies lost a tough, soggy battle with CMS 21-0 in their final game of the season.  Alec Rodriguez was the offensive player of the game with a long touchdown run that was negated due to a penalty.  Defensive player of the game went to Christian Gallardo.  The hustle award goes to Nic Rush for a solid game on both sides of the ball and top notch acting.Players of the Week 10/31:

8th Grade

Red Team
Tonight the Ponies took on a hard nose Coppell West team. Losing 22-0 at half. the Ponies do what they always do, fight hard. In the end the Ponies would fall to Coppell West 30-8. Offensive Player of The Game was Cameron Johnson. Cameron Johnson had several huge runs for first down. Defensive Player of The Game was Jacob Adams. Jacob had several tackles tonight including several tackles for loss. Hustle Player of The Game was Landon Jackson. Landon had a couple of big catches and returns on kickoff. Great effort tonight Ponies. Remember we still have our season goal in front of us. Let’s go get it.

Grey Team
The GMS Ponies had a tough game versus the Coppell West Wranglers, falling to West with a final score of 42-0. The offensive award goes to the whole offensive line for making some great blocks to allow Julius Reed to have some big runs. The defensive player of the game goes to Seth Glennon for his hustle and determination. The hustle award goes to Julius Reed for playing hard on both sides of the ball all night long.

7th Grade

Red Team
The Red team racked up another win in a thriller against Coppell West beating the Wranglers 16-7. The offensive player of the game was Dylan Hoenberger who scored the lone offensive touchdown for Grapevine on a fade right before halftime. The defensive player of the game was Leon Covington who was a lock down corner all game long and didn’t allow a single reception. The hustle player of the game was Matthew Stewart who had two big receptions on grapevine’s lone scoring drive sparking the offense.

Grey Team
The Ponies of the Grey squad fought hard and gave the Wranglers quite the challenge. The final score ended up being the Wranglers 20 and the Ponies 6. Offensive player of the game goes to Cam Mobh for a great rushing touchdown. Defensive player of the game goes to Henry Esses for having a nice interception. Hustle award for the game goes to Matthew Monson.

White Team
The 7th Grade White Team WON their second game of the season over Coppell West in convincing fashion, 21-6!  The ponies were led offensively by James Herrin with a great catch and defensively by Nicolas Rush with steady play at outside linebacker.  The hustle player of the game is Noah Brown.  Noah had 3 interceptions and 3 touchdowns, with 2 more called back by penalties.

Players of the Week 10/24:

8th Grade

Red Team
Tonight the the Ponies played a pretty good Heritage team. Things started of a bit rough but the Ponies were able to pull things together and keep the game close The ponies scored on their opening possession of the second half to make the score 16-8. In the end the Ponies would fall to the Broncos 24-8. Offensive Player of the Game was Alphrege Ntumba. Alphrege scored a touchdown and had several big runs. Defensive Player of the Game was Jacob Adams. Jacob played very well on defense and several big tackles. Hustle Player of the game was Gabe Menchaca. Gabe had several good defensive plays including a touchdown saving tackle. Great job Ponies, keep up the fight boys!

Grey Team
The Ponies battled hard but came out on the short end against Heritage, losing 40-0. Offensive player of the game goes to Julius Reed. Defensive player of the game goes to Andres Valdez. Hustle player goes to Anthony Shamlin. Good effort Ponies!

7th Grade

Red Team
Last night the Red Team Ponies played Heritage to a 0-0 tie into the 3rd quarter. Shortly after the 3rd quarter the Broncos starting rolling on offense. In the end the Ponies would fall to the Broncos 22-0. Offensive player of the game was Brodie Day. Brodie had several big runs that kept drives going for the ponies. Defensive Player of the game was Leo Convington. Leo had several big tackles for looses and a couple of sacks. Hustle Player of the Game was Alejandro Chavez. Alejandro had several big plays on special teams as well as the offensive line. Great effort tonight Ponies. Keep fighting and keep believing.

Grey Team
The Grey team fought hard, but fell to the Broncos 20-6. The offensive player of the game was Caleb Miles who had the lone score for the ponies on a 57 yard touchdown catch. The defensive player of the game was Roosevelt Wells who had double digit tackles on defense and could not be blocked all night. The hustle player of the game was Blake Burgess who had multiple big runs on offense and allowed no catches from his cornerback position.

White Team
Grapevine White Team lost a close one to HMS, 14-6.  The Ponies were led by a ferocious rushing attack from Mark “The Hannibal” Hannah and Noah “The Beast” Brown.  The Defense was led by Chris Morales with a bone crushing hit. The hustle award goes to Alec Rodriguez for his play on both sides of the ball.

Players of the Week 10/17:

8th Grade

Red Team
Last night the Ponies ran into a very tough Coppell North team. The ponies fought hard but in the end fell to the Cougars 58-0. Offensive player of the game was Alphrege Ntumba. Despite having very little room to run, Alphrege manged some very, very tough yards. Defensive Player of the game Gabe Jackson. Gabe had several tackles behind the line of scrimmage as well as a couple of quarterback pressure. Hustle player of the game Hunter Tower. Hunter pretty much played the entire games on offense, defense and special teams. Great job tonight ponies. Not the outcome we expected but we must continue to fight everyday.

Grey Team
The Ponies fought hard the whole game but came up short against Coppell North last night, losing by a final score of 30-0. Offensive player of the game was Julius Reed for running hard the whole game and shedding some tacklers along the way to some big runs. The defensive player of the game goes to Andres Valdez who made a large amount of tackles for loss to stop the Coppell North offense. The hustle player of the game goes to Aiden Smith for coming in on both sides of the ball and making crucial plays to keep the Ponies in the game.

7th Grade

Red Team
Last night the Ponies notched their first win of the season. The boys put together a great game in every area. Late in the 4th quarter, the ponies had to fight off a PAT attempt by the Cougars. The PAT sailed wide left and the ponies victoriously walked off the field with a 22-20 victory. Offensive Players of the game were Solomon McKenzie and Leon Convington. Solomon connected on several big passes and had several big runs, one of which was a touchdown. Leon scored a touchdown and had a huge 4th down catch to keep the wining touchdown drive alive. Defensive player of the came was Leo Convington. Leo had several sacks and caused a fumble. Hustle Player of the game was Dylan Hohenberger. Dylan did a great job of covering receivers and had a 55 yard interception return. Great job on your first win Ponies!

Grey Team
The grey team fought hard but fell short to the Cougars 28 to 0. The offensive player of the was Blake Burgess who had multiple big runs from his running back position. The defensive player of the game was Henry “Dexter” Esses who had another monster game on defense racking up multiple tackles. The hustle player of the game Jaime Suarez who had big blocks on the offensive side and multiple tackles on defense.

White Team
The Ponies lost to a tough Coppell North team 24-0. The offensive MVP goes to Adolfo Pantoja for his big time blocks on the O Line.  The defensive MVP goes to Christian Gallardo. The Hustle award goes to Roosevelt Wells for his play all over the field.

Players of the Week 10/10:

8th Grade

Red Team
The Ponies played CTMS on 10/12. The Wolves got up early on the Ponies and the Ponies could never recover. In the end the Ponies fell to the Wolves 24-0. Offensive player of the game was Alphrege Ntumba had several big runs. Defensive Player was Jacob Adams. Jacob did a great job fighting off block. Hustle player of the game was Gabe Menchaca. Gabe had several plays on both offense and defense tonight. Great job guys!

Grey Team
The Ponies came out and played hard against Cross Timbers but came up short with a final score of 21-6. The offensive MVP goes to Julius Reed who ran hard all game and had a big time touchdown to put the Ponies on the scoreboard. The defensive MVP goes to Ian Banks who came up with some great hits to stop the CTMS offense. The hustle award goes to Anthony Shamlin. Shamlin played hard on defense and made some big catches on offense to keep us in the game. We are proud of the guys for finishing strong and never giving up.

7th Grade

Red Team
The Ponies faced a very big and tough CTMS team. Again the Ponies were plagued with mistakes and turnovers. Despite their misfortune, the Ponies were only down 6-0 at halftime. They continued to fight through adversity for the rest of the game. Eventually, the ponies fell to CTMS 28-0. Offensive player of the game was Solomon McKenzie. Great job of running the offense Solomon. The defensive player of the game was Iaaac Finestad. Issac had several big tackles and did a great job of holding the defensive edge. Hustle player of the game was Evan Curtis. Even had several key blocks on offensive a several hustle plays on defense. Great Job tonight guys.

Grey Team
The grey team battled all game long but fell short to the wolves 19-0. The offensive player of the game Ethan Martinez who totaled 3 catches from his receiver position. The defensive player of the game was Caleb Miles who had multiple tackles from his safety position. The hustle player of the game was Cam Mohb who had two big physical runs on the offensive side of the ball, and multiple big hits from his linebacker position.

White Team
GMS White fell short in a hard fought battle with CTMS. Offensive MVP went to Mark “The Hannibal” Hanna with some tough inside running. Defensive MVP went to James Herrin with several tackles on aggressive play. Hustle Award went to Roosevelt Wells with his spirited play.

Players of the Week for 10/3:

8th Grade

Red Team
Tonight the 8th grade Red Team Ponies got off to a slow start by allowing an open drive touchdown and then throwing an interception for a touchdown. That would prove to be to much for the ponies to overcome. In the end the ponies would fall to the Coppell East 49-19 I can’t say enough about the fight the ponies have. We are so proud of the never die attitude. Offensive Players of game was Cameron Johnson and Keegan Garwood. Cameron had a 65 yard TD and had several big key runs on offense. Keegan had several big catches and proved that he could not be covered 1 on 1. Hustle Players of the game were Ben Gair and Alphrege Ntumba. These young men didn’t have a lot of big plays with the ball in their hands. Its how they played away from the ball that made their nights so good. Great job guys!

Grey Team
The Ponies faced a tough Coppell East squad last night and ended up falling short on the scoreboard 26-6. The offensive player of the game goes to Caleb Crispin. Crispin was throwing dimes all over the field to his receivers for some huge plays! Defensive player of the game goes to Joseph Resendiz. Resendiz was flying all over the field and made a few huge sacks to stop the Coppell East offensive attack. The hustle award goes to Cameron Garcia. Cam was working hard on both sides of the ball and came up with the big catch and touchdown!

7th Grade

Red Team
Tonight the Ponies Red Team played another tough game to only only come up short once again. The ponies were able to cut the lead to 8 points before finally falling to Coppell East MS 20-6. Offensive Player of the Game was Dylan Hohenberger. Dylan caught several passes including a 54 yard TD catch. Defensive Player of the Game was Issac Finnestad. Isaac made several big plays on defense including tackles for loss and QB pressures. Solomon McKenzie is the Hustle Player of the Game. Solomon had one interception, several big catches and several tackles during the game. Great Job guys. We are proud of you all.

Grey Team
The grey team fought hard, but fell short of victory against Coppell East 16-6. The offensive player of the game William Leon who had a 60 yard touchdown run in the second half. The hustle player of the game was Trenton Whitehead who had multiple tackles on the defensive side of the ball, and played hard on offense. The defensive player of the game was Henry “Dexter” Esses who racked up double digit tackles on defense and multiple tackles for losses.

Players of the Week for 9/19:

8th Grade

Red Team
Tonight the Ponies took a 12-0 lead and was poised for their first win of the season. Unfortunately the lead would not hold up as the Ponies fell to Carroll 24-12. As always the boys played their hearts out and gave maximum effort. The Offensive Player of the Game was Keegan Garwood. Keegan had a Touchdown and several big catches. Defensive Player of the Game was Gabe Jackson. Despite being triple and double teamed all night, Gabe had several huge stops behind the line of scrimmage. Hustle Player of the Game was Cameron Johnson. Cameron had a Touchdown and several huge catches. Great effort tonight guys your coaches remain very proud of you.

Gray Team
The Ponies battled hard against the Carroll Dragons but fell to the score of 34-6. The offensive MVP for the game was Julius Reed, who had a huge run to give the Ponies the score. The defensive MVP was Eli Hall who had a big time interception early in the game. The hustle award was Sahil Shrimankar who made some big plays at the corner position.

7th Grade

Red and Grey Teams
Rained out. Red has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21 at CTMS at 5:30 pm.

White Team
GMS White team lost a tough one to Carroll Middle, 19-6.  GMS was led by another strong effort by William Leon who scored another rushing touchdown.  Adolfo Pantoja was the defensive MVP who played hard at multiple positions.  Christian “Bobcat” Begley wins the hustle award by “sweeping the shed” and stepping in wherever he was needed.

Players of the Week for 9/12:

8th GRADE

Red Team
On Tuesday night, Sept. 13, the Ponies fought back from being down early16-0 against Dawson. Keegan Garwood returned an interception for a touchdown to get the Ponies back in the game. Minuets later Alphrege Ntumba scored on a 14 yard run to make the score 16-13. In the end the Ponies would run out of time, and the final score remained at 16-13 Dawson.

Defensive player of the game is Keegan Garwood. Keegan batted down 2 balls and had an interception. Offensive MVPs are Derek Engel and Alphrege Ntumba. Thanks to a tremendous job by the offensive line, Derek and Alphrege were able to throw and run the ball with proficiency. The Hustle Player of the Game is Griffin Edwards. Griffin made several key tackles on defense and several key blocks on offense. Great Job Ponies! Your coaches are extremely proud of your effort

Grey Team
Grey team lost a hard fought battle against a tough Dawson Dragons team, 31-0. The offensive MVP was Caleb Crispin, who handled the offense well and made some great throws throughout the game. Top Defensive player was Anthony Shamlin. Shamlin had some huge hits to stop the Dragon offense. Hustle player of the game was Seth Glennon, who showed consistent and tough defense throughout the game.

7th GRADE

Red Team
Tonight the Ponies defense gave the Ponies a chance to win the game late. However, the Ponies offense could not put together enough positive plays to get into the end zone. In the end the ponies fell to the Dawson Dragons 12-0. Offensive MVP was Brody Day. Brody broke off a couple of huge runs and did a great job blocking. Defensive MVP was Leon Convington. Leon played behind the line of scrimmage all night. He recorded several tackles for loss and sacks. Hustle Player of the Game was Dylan Hohenberger. Dylan had an interception and a fumble recovery. This team is on the verge of a great season. Keep fighting ponies and we will get there. We are so proud of you guys.

Grey Team
The 7th grade grey team played a hard game but came up short of victory versus Carroll Dawson, losing 28-0. The offensive MVP for the game was receiver Caleb Miles, who made a few great catches on offense. The defensive MVP goes to Ryan Adams. Ryan was flying all over the field, making some big tackles to stop the Dragons. The hustle award for the game goes to runningback and linebacker Chance Gartman. Chance battled the whole game on both sides of the ball, having a few good runs as well as a handful of great tackles.

White Team
The White Team started the year off strong with a 27-7 victory over Dawson.  The offensive MVP was William Leon with 4 touchdown runs. The defensive MVP was Christian Begley who led the team in tackles. Mark “The Hanibal” Hanna wins the hustle award for his efforts on both sides of the ball.
