Grapevine Middle School Athletics

Coach Eric Hill

Coach Hill is entering his 4th year at GMS as the Boys Athletic Coordinator and Head Coach. Coach Hill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in History. He will complete his Master’s Degree in Education and Leadership with a Principal Certificate in 2018. This year, Coach Hill hopes to build on the many successes of the 2016-2017 year. Coach Hill is married to Maria Butler. They have two wonderful children, Kacee McCall Hill, 5 years old and Jace Logan Hill, 3 years old. He also has two other sons, Quentin Hill and Zachary Hill. He is looking forward to a great year with the student-athletes and parents of GMS. Together we can achieve more! Go Ponies!

Coach Steve Chippeaux

Coach Chippeaux has been involved in education for 26 years, and has been a teacher/coach at Grapevine Middle School for 14 years.  Prior to teaching at GMS, Coach Chapeaux spent three years as an Athletic Director and five years as an Academic Registrar at Hawaii Baptist Academy, located in Honolulu. At GMS, he has been coaching boys’ athletics for two years, and this will be his 12th year coaching girls’ athletics.

Coach Tim Smith

Coach Smith enters his 29th year of teaching and coaching at GMS. Smith has a bachelors degree in Physical Education and Health Education… and is proud to have survived teaching drivers education for 23 years! Smith is married to Karen and they are blessed with two rescue puppies Zeke and Ellie Mae who keep the house full of energy! Smith looks forward to another great year working with the best kids! Protect the house!

Coach Denzel Green

This will be Coach Green’s third year coaching and teaching US History at GMS. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in history. Coach Green looks forward to building on a great 2016-2017 athletic year with the 2017-2018 8th grade and 7th grade athletes.

Coach Andrew McClelland

The 2016-2017 school year is Coach McClelland’s first year at GMS. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where he served as Director of Baseball Operations while working towards his Masters Degree in Sports Management. Coach McClelland is a graduate of Tarleton State University where he received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice.

Coach Johnny “Blake” Hodges

This will be Coach Hodges’ second year coaching and teaching Career Tech at GMS. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He and his wife, Brandy, have 2 sons, Bo and Baer. Coach Hodges is also a product of GCISD schools and is proud to be a part of the family.

Coach Leah Hudnall

Coach Hudnall is the girls athletic coordinator. This is her third year at GMS. Coach Hudnall grew up in Southlake and graduated from Southlake Carroll High School in 1998. From there, she attended Texas A&M University and earned at degree in Kinesiology. She has coached volleyball, basketball, and track for 11 years. 4 years were at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park and 4 years at Irma Marsh Middle School as an Athletic Coordinator. Family is her top priority. She has a 8-year-old daughter, Riley who occupies all of her time outside of work. Coaching and working with kids has always been her passion. Coach Jessica Coffman

Coach Coffman graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Agriculture Communications and Journalism in 2013. In August 2017 she graduated with her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A&M as well. This is Coach Coffman’s second year coaching, and she is happy to continue her journey at GMS. Her passion is sports, and she is looking forward to working with the 7th and 8th grade ladies. Coach Coffman loves to travel, try new things and foods. She enjoys relaxing at the lake and pretty much anything outdoors! She especially enjoys spending time with my family and friends. Coach Teri Campbell

Coach Campbell is from Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated with both her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a Masters degree in Education and Sport Administration from Midwestern State University. Coach Campbell has coached basketball, track, cross country, volleyball, softball and is a GMS soccer coach. She is vey passionate about sports (especially basketball) and coaching students to their full potential.

Coach Keanan Hall

This is Coach Hall’s first year at GMS. Coach Hall is from Keller, Texas. She graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Arts degrees in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and her law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Coach Hall’s husband is a football and wrestling coach at Grapevine High School and her children, Caleb and Kylie attend school there as well. When she is not working hard with athletes at GMS, you can find her supporting her family at GHS.
